Together 2024
Together Program: Empowering Women in the Americas

The Together program aims to empower and give women throughout America access to knowledge of hematological pathologies. Since 2022, the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation, Hemophilia of Georgia, and the Coalition of the Americas have worked on a general and now women-based scholarship program, with the belief that training potential leaders is key to achieving the necessary changes and strengthen the female community.
This program seeks to create specialized medical spaces for women, generate valuable connections and networks, include women in studies and analyses, and unify data records of women with bleeding disorders. Additionally, it motivates participants to be agents of change and to be part of a supportive community.
Together 2024 had the participation of the representatives of Jamaica / Guyana / Panama / Dominican Republic / Bahamas
We remember that the COA in conjunction with the NBDF and with the support of Hemophilia of Georgia awarded scholarships to 5 women from the Americas, mentioned below:
Sarah Garcia (Dominican Republic) FAHEM – Dominican Republic
Omwattie Nandalall (Guyana) Guyana Hemophilia Society (GHS)
Florence Roker (Bahamas) Bahamas Hemophilia Foundation
Elizabeth Blake (Jamaica) Haemophilia Society of Jamaica
Delfina Evelyn Jaén (Panama) Panamanian Hemophilia Foundation together with the project coordinator: Amanda Brito del Pino seeking to learn and train at this event, make relationships and think about their impact projects in each community linked to women and hemophilia.
